all the cool kids are doing it!

Last year at interbike, it seemed as though all the hype was on the companies offering fixed gear bicycles. This year, anyone who didnt have a fixed gear bike in their 2009 lineup joined the bandwagon. As a consequence, the "hipster" stigma of fixed gears has only been fueled by the marketing big-wigs of major bicycle manufacturers; case in point: Felt. Felt has developed a complete line of fixed gears based on the trendiness of singlespeed road bikes. The top tube pads, flashy color schemes, and PBR inspired bottle opener/wheel wrenches serve only to further this.
